If you could use a self confidence boost…
If you are feeling like there has got to be more to life than this…
If burnout has become your default setting…
Authentic living is likely not happening for you right now.
As a Dallas life coach, I coach men and women who feel unfulfilled, disconnected from their life purpose and who are living their lives based on other people’s expectations of them. They’ve lost their connection to who they really are at their core, underneath things like past pain, limiting beliefs and the ‘shoulds’ that societal expectations have created.
Hard truth, if you’re living your life for other people, you’ll always feel like something is missing. Living authentically is the ultimate form of self love. Let me explain.
What is Authentic Living?
When you’re living life authentically, you are showing up from a place of grounded purpose, passion and intention. You are being unapologetically YOU – which means you aren’t playing small, you aren’t being influenced by everyone around you and adapting to who you think they want you to be, and you are operating from a place of having love and respect for yourself.
How To Practice Self Love
As fun and simple as it seems to engage in what society is deeming to be self care rituals like getting your nails done and taking a bubble bath, these things are like band aids to a deeper issue. The reality is that self confidence and self love come from within, so they need to be tended to on an internal level. Spa days and shopping sprees are nice, I mean let’s be honest I could tear down the mall and then go drink a glass of champs at a luxury spa, but the feelings I will get from that are like sugar highs. They are short lived and often leave you feeling worse of than before.
As a self love coach, I help my clients reconnect to their authentic selves. Here are 3 things you can do right now to practice self love and to live authentically:
- Mindset shifts for self love: Bring awareness to the nasty voice that lives in your head and tells you all the reasons why you’re not good enough. Start catching that voice so that you can then replace it with more empowering thoughts. Easier said than done? Let me help you, starting with a complimentary consultation.
- Give your nervous system some love: Nervous system regulation is all the rage right now, as it should be. When you are operating from a place of stress, fear and anxiety, it is extremely difficult to make decisions and move forward in your life. Boundaries and self respect go hand in hand, so start giving your nervous system boundaries. Don’t reply to everything urgently, don’t multi task, get a handle on what I call your energy drains (where your energy is currently leaking out, an example is comparing yourself to others on social media).
- Live with intention: Identify your top values in life and make sure that your priorities and actions align with your values. If they don’t, you will always feel friction. When values, priorities and actions are aligned, you will feel freedom, flow and fulfillment.
If you’re craving more self love, self confidence and authentic living, consider investing in yourself and your future with a transformation coach. Dallas is home for me, but with my virtual coaching sessions you can live anywhere and coach with me.
Our coaching partnership begins with a complimentary consultation. From there, we move into an initial 3 month transformational coaching experience where we will meet every week (which is the most popular option) or every other week.
